I am a little bit bummed that I didn't make it to the Marimekko Concept Store on the Upper East Side, mostly to see if I could get my hands on this wood-bead necklace (which appears to be sold out online). I have taken an extreme liking to wooden necklaces as of late. I keep thinking I will make one for myself, but as you can tell, my follow through on craft ideas is low.... Wouldn't homemade/handmade wooden beaded necklaces make great holiday presents? I gotta get on this!

I had to repost this gorgeous plaid Study Jacket I spotted on the well-curated blog, Mosey, simply because I know you are all mad for plaid!

I love it layered over a little home-bound lingerie look - Although in reality I would never find myself wearing it this way - I mean, let's be realistic! More likely you'd find me wearing this with light denim shirt, black jeans and my new shoes :)

Picked up these lovelies at Opening Ceremony in NYC yesterday - So cute with tights & dresses as well as skinny jeans! And I do believe they will fit perfectly into my Pacific Northwest lifestyle :)

Aubin & Wills

After seeing Chelsea's post on British clothing brand, Aubin & Wills, I immediately hopped over to their site. Lovely plaids, stripes and great silhouettes made it an instant favorite. Of course you'll have to pay $43 to have anything shipped to the US (Yikes). I think I will use the pieces as inspiration for things to keep my eye out for stateside, but worth checking out nonetheless.

The Line-Up

I've been thinking about hairstyles these past few days (and always)... I can tend to be a bit schizophrenic with my hair. I am STILL at an awkward growing-out length with mine, so I wear it back everyday. I was trying to grow my bangs out for a 70's-inspired-hair-parted-in-the-middle look, but am now considering shorter bangs again. (Although, Portland weather points to no-bangs, because no one likes soggy bangs). Will ever make up my mind?!?!?

Anyways! I loved this post on Hair Inspiration Line Up - Something to get the juices flowing. Which of these four styles is your favorite???

Fall is very much in full-swing in Portland. My style focus has shifted to how to stay warm while still looking cute! This weekend I will be channeling this Fall look... Grey skinnies, plaid shirt, suede brogues, warm scarf and a short fitted coat. I don't do leather jackets, but I ran across this cute wool biker jacket... All the styling of the leather coat with a more Camp Comfort fabrication.

Fall Inspiration

I came to the conclusion last night, while shopping with Jess, that I am in a major style rut. Sure, I have good style intentions, but what do I inevitably end up wearing everyday? Skinny Jeans, Striped Tee, Cardigan and Converse. Yep, every-single-day!

Like I said last week, I cannot find the clothes I want to buy. I can picture them in my head, sometimes I see them on other people... but when I hit the shops, said clothing is nowhere to be found!

So, I went back through the Camp Comfort Inspiration Archives looking for some guidance for Fall... Here's what I came up with:

Stripe Tees: I won't stop wearing them (ever!) but maybe I will try pairing them with a smart little jacket and red lips. (P.S. I bought the Benetint Pocket Pal stain & gloss combo - It's PERFECT!!!)

Chunky Sweaters: Wish I had more of these, but sadly I am allergic to most wool (the bane of my existence), so that limits my options. If you ever see a good chunky cotton sweater like the one above, you MUST email me!

Layering: I always come back to this photo for layering inspiration. Two scarves, sweater, short sleeve coat, gloves, oxfords - Just too cute.

Skirts: They are so easy, it's a mystery why I don't own more! I love this little gingham number.

Best Outfit EVER: Seriously, I like everything about this and wish I could wear it everyday. I am currently searching for the perfect army coat (thinking of getting this one). And then there are the No.6 Boots... I have not been able to talk myself into spending $345 on shoes.

Statement Coat: Last year's APC coat as worn by Clemence Posey. I usually buy a new winter coat every year, still keeping my eyes out for this year's winner. Of course something I can layer with dresses, tights, and boots. (And don't even get me started on how I cannot find the perfect pair of boots!!!!)

Now I must go forth and re-create!

Getting Dressed

I have to say that I have been a little disenchanted with clothes lately. One huge problem is that I have ideas in my mind for dresses, pants, skirts, shoes that I want but I am unable to find them anywhere. Which, you must know, is extremely frustrating! I stumbled across this plaid flannel dress on Uniqlo's website and feel like it could fill a tiny void in my wardrobe...

I am heading to NYC for work in a few weeks (more on that later) - hoping I will make it to Uniqlo to pick this up!

Wanted: Flat Black Boots

I have had the hardest time finding the perfect pair of flat black boots. They have become my holy grail. I would prefer ankle length but would also accept riding boots. My other criteria is that they be under $300. A feat in itself! Suggestions welcome.

What can I say... I haven't officially been a "teen" for over 10 years, but sometimes Teen Vogue just gets it so right. Grunge... It never left that soft spot in my heart...

I basically want every piece of clothing from this spread. I would even take the VW Bus. The husband and I went cross-country in a VW Van two years ago and I have been wanting to relive that free-spirited summer ever since.

I recently discovered the Italian footwear company Volta... I love their simple and classic yet modern design. Needless to say I have had a pretty major crush on all shapes, sizes and textures of Chuka Boots as of late.

Currently this is mine... Filles des Iles - Floral Sensual. LeTrainBleu describes it as Islandy and Summery, but I disagree.... I am not much of a Summer person (I prefer the Fall/Winter) and this perfume transitions nicely through every season. What is yours?
